Our History

1962

The Shreveport Trane office was founded by Hubert “Bud” Storer

1967

The Shreveport District Trane Franchise was awarded to Storer Equipment Company as an Independent Trane franchise, represented by Bud Storer

1969

The Storer Trane Service Agency was established to provide Commercial HVAC Services

1969

Storer acquired distribution responsibility for Trane parts. A parts center was opened to sell Trane HVAC parts along with many other industry manufacturers

1980

Mark Stevens, our current Service Manager, joins the company

1983

Craig Storer, our current Chairman and President, joins the company

1986

Storer purchased the Dykes Company, a manufacturer’s representative for boilers and other industrial products

1992

Storer Equipment Company began offering Integrated Control Systems

2003

Storer Launches “Software Support” Service Agreements for Trane Tracer systems to assist customers with operations and maintenance of their direct digital control systems

2005

The Storer Building Automation Systems segment expands to offer Building Logix and becomes a System Integrator

2006

Storer formed a partnership with Bossier Parish Community College as their full onsite facility management partner for HVAC and Energy Management Services. The Storer Building Services model was repeated, adding six facility management partners over the next 7 years

2008

Aaron Storer, our current General Manager, joins the company

2008

Storer is honored by the Better Business Bureau with the “Torch Award” for market place ethics

2012

Storer Equipment Company changed its name to Storer Services - Building Energy Solutions to better represent its complete package of industry services.

2013

Andrew Storer, currently our Shreveport Account Manager, joins the company

2014

After 52 years, Storer Services dissolved the franchise agreement with Trane, allowing us to better focus on our core mission: providing the best possible solution to our owner clients through the full suite of products and services we offer

2014

Storer expands on the concepts of “Software Support” and launches the “Client Service” support agreement. “Client Services” utilizes technology to support clients with many different types of control and HVAC systems

2015

Storer dedicates the H.E. “Bud” Storer Technology Room at Bossier Parish Community College in honor of our late founder Bud Storer

2019

Aaron Storer 2019 Young Professional Initiative 40 under Forty Honoree
