New Control System and Integration for a 270,000 square foot Multi-purpose Arena
Storer Services was contracted to upgrade the control system at the arena. This contract included installing all new communication wiring, sensors and a new graphical user interface. New controllers were installed on all air handling units, centrifugal chiller and boiler plants while integrating the existing controllers on all dual duct VAV boxes and fan coil units. The system was fully commissioned and turned over to the owner within the project timeframe. Tridium’s Niagara software was implemented on this site as the buildings front-end and graphical interface.
Using measurement and verification software to monitor energy spend; the controls project in addition to operating the facility has saved the facility over 30% of consumption over the past year. CenturyLink total savings from January 2011 to June 2015: $467,293
Storer has had an onsite technician operating the HVAC of the building for over 4 years. Other services include ongoing measurement and verification of energy savings along with connected building services HVAC inspections on equipment and full preventive maintenance.
